Program Overview

Experience Argentina’s vibrant culture and education system through ARAMFO’s 2026 Argentina Study Tour. From guided tours of Buenos Aires landmarks like Casa Rosada and La Boca, to academic engagements at the University of Buenos Aires, secondary schools, and social inclusion projects, this program blends cultural immersion with meaningful academic exploration. Students and professors alike will gain unique insights into Latin America’s history, art, and society while building global connections and cross-cultural understanding.


Program Highlights

  • Engage with Argentina’s Education System: Visit the University of Buenos Aires, a secondary school, and social projects focused on education and inclusion.

  • Explore Iconic Landmarks: Casa Rosada, Plaza de Mayo, Recoleta Cemetery, La Boca, Colon Theater.

  • Discover Argentine Art & Culture: Visit MALBA (Latin American Art Museum) and experience tango (optional).

  • Blend Academics with Cultural Immersion: Participate in guided discussions with students, faculty, and local organizations.

  • Cultural Cohesion: Group welcome dinner upon arrival and farewell dinner before departure.

Please note: Some changes to the program, timetables, or venues may occur prior to the departure date.

Day 1 – Saturday, May 9: Departure to Buenos Aires

  • Departure from JFK to Buenos Aires (overnight flight).

  • Meals: None


Day 2 – Sunday, May 10: Arrival in Buenos Aires & City Introduction

  • Arrival at Ezeiza International Airport; group transfer to hotel.

  • Guided city walking tour of San Telmo & Puerto Madero.

  • Evening: Welcome Dinner to meet and connect as a group.

  • Overnight in Buenos Aires.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Welcome Dinner

Day 3 – Monday, May 11: Congress & City Highlights

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Morning: Private tour of the Congress.

  • Visit Casa Rosada (House of Government).

  • Afternoon: Guided city tour (Plaza de Mayo, Recoleta Cemetery).

  • Evening: Free time for independent exploration.

  • Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 4 – Tuesday, May 12: University & City Highlights

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Morning: Visit the University of Buenos Aires; meet faculty and students.

  • Afternoon: Walking tour of Palermo neighborhoods (parks, street art, bookshops).

  • Evening: Optional tango show with dinner (self-funded).

  • Overnight in Buenos Aires.


Day 5 – Wednesday, May 13: Social Projects & Art

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Morning: Visit a nonprofit organization focusing on education and social inclusion in vulnerable communities.

  • Afternoon: Visit MALBA (Latin American Art Museum).

  • Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 6 – Thursday, May 14: Schools, La Boca & Colon Theater

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Morning: Visit to a secondary school.

  • Afternoon: Guided tour of La Boca neighborhood (Caminito, local art, football culture).

  • Evening: Visit Colon Theater.

  • Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 7 – Friday, May 15: FREE DAY

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • FREE Day

  • Group Farewell Dinner to celebrate the program.

  • Overnight in Buenos Aires.


Day 8 – Friday, May 16: Departure

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Transfer to Ezeiza International Airport for return flight.

  • Depart Buenos Aires → JFK.

Cost of the program includes:

  • Round-trip flights (JFK → Buenos Aires; Buenos Aires → JFK)
  • Hotels in twin-shared rooms (double occupancy)

  • Daily breakfast at the hotel

  • Guided city tours

  • University visit (University of Buenos Aires) with faculty/student engagement

  • Nonprofit/social project site visit (education and social inclusion)

  • Entry to MALBA (Latin American Art Museum) and Colon Theater

  • Private tour of Congress and Casa Rosada

  • Group Welcome Dinner and Farewell Dinner

  • Local transportation for scheduled program activities

  • ARAMFO will arrange for one group transportation to and from the airport at a time when most participants will arrive in or leave the host country. 



Cost Does Not Include

  • Travel and health insurance.

  • Checked baggage fees on any flights.
  • Airport transfers for arrivals or departures outside the main group schedule (available for an additional fee).
  • Activities or meals that are not specifically listed in the itinerary.
  • Tips and gratuities.

The cost of the trip is $3,700 (double-occupancy) per person

* Single Room Upgrade: $600 for single occupancy, due 90 days before the departure date, subject to availability.

Funding Your Participation

We encourage you to seek travel and professional development funding from your institution. Many faculty members receive support through internal programs and offices listed below.

This educational trip may be funded out of pocket or through institutional support. Schools and universities may cover the full cost or offer partial sponsorship for faculty participation.

ARAMFO Payment Plan Options

We believe every participant should be able to travel without financial stress. The plans below provide flexible options to fit different budgets.

Option 1: Pay in Full at Enrollment (No Fee)

  • Pay the entire program balance at the time of enrollment.
  • Accepted methods: credit card, debit card, ACH, personal checks, and bank transfers.

Option 2: Automatic Payment Plan (No Fee)

Set up automatic monthly or bi-weekly payments with no additional fees. Payments are scheduled until 30 days before departure.

How it works

  • No enrollment or plan fees.
  • First payment of $300 due within 30 days of registration; credited toward your total balance.
  • Choose monthly or bi-weekly automatic payments.
  • At least $1,500 paid no later than 90 days before departure.
  • Final balance paid no later than 55 days before departure.
  • You may pay off your balance early at any time without fees.
  • Accepted methods: credit card, debit card, ACH, personal checks, and bank transfers.

Cancellation Policy

  • 50% of the paid amount refunded between 100 and 91 days prior to departure.
  • 40% of the paid amount refunded between 90 and 61 days prior to departure.
  • 30% of the paid amount refunded between 60 and 51 days prior to departure.
  • No refund within 50 days of departure.
