Day 1: Friday, October 10, 2025. Departure day 

Depart Los Angeles (LAX) to Fukuoka International Airport in Japan 

Day 2: Sunday, October 12, 2025. Welcome to Japan!

  • Arrival at Fukuoka Airport

  • Transfer to the hotel in private transportation (30 minutes - 1 hour)

  • Orientation meeting followed by time to explore Fukuoka

  • Japanese-style welcome dinner

Day 3: Monday, October 13, 2025: University Visits in Fukuoka

  • 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Visit of Kyushu Sangyo University with Dr. Otabe

    • Visit of the campus

    • Presentation of the teachers

    • Q&A session

  • 7:00 PM: Japanese dinner with educators and professors

Day 4: Tuesday, October 14, 2025: Kindergarten in Hita and Oita

  • 7:30 AM: Depart from the hotel to Hita

  • 9:00 AM: Visit Hikari Kodomoen Kindergarten

  • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Visit Hita High School, 

    • Observe / participate to : School lunch - Clean up session of the school - Teaching session. After the class, discuss with some teachers.

  • 3:00 PM: Enjoy hot springs in Hita

  • 5:00 PM: Observe club activities

  • 7:00 PM: Return to the hotel

Day 5: Wednesday, October 15, 2025:Elementary School in Saga

  • 7:00 AM: Depart from the hotel

  • 8:00 AM: Meet volunteers assisting children going to school

  • 8:40 AM: Visit of Ushizu elementary school in Ogi, observe some classes, their flow in the morning and visit the “special care” class

  • 12:00 PM: Lunch with parents and discussions about educational practices

  • 3:00 PM: Observe afterschool club activities

  • 5:30 PM: Return to the hotel

Day 6: Thursday, October 16, 2025: High School in Ikishima

  • 8:00 AM: Depart from the hotel

  • 8:40 AM: Visit Ikishima High School

  • 12:00 PM: Lunch with teachers in Ikishima

  • 3:00 PM: Free sightseeing and group discussions on the island

  • 5:30 PM: Return to the hotel

Day 7: Friday, October 17, 2025: Junior High School in Fukuoka (no private bus)

  • 9:00 AM: Depart from the hotel

  • 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Visit Maizuru Junior High School

  • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Special workshop and presentation with Dr. Balle and Mr. Haller (educators) about Japanese education

  • 6:00 PM: Return to the hotel

Day 8: Saturday, October 18, 2025: Travel to Tokyo

  • 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Flight from Fukuoka to Tokyo

  • Afternoon: Depending on arrival time, visit Hissho University

  • Evening: Check into the hotel

Day 9: Sunday, October 19, 2025: Free Day in Tokyo

This Sunday, you will be free to explore Tokyo at your own pace. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture, discover hidden gems, or simply soak in the energy of Japan’s iconic capital. It would be a shame to visit Tokyo without experiencing its unique charm, so take this time to make it your own. While no visits are scheduled, we’re happy to provide recommendations or assistance to ensure you make the most of your day.

Day 10: Monday, October 20, 2025: Heisei University in Tokyo (no private bus)

  • 9:00 AM: Depart from the hotel

  • 10:00 AM: Visit a traditional Japanese temple or shrine

  • 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Visit Teikyo Heisei University in Hachioji campus

  • 7:00 PM: Return to the hotel

Day 11: Tuesday, October 21, 2025: Hitotsubashi University and Farewell Dinner (no private bus)

  • 8:30 AM: Depart from the hotel

  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Visit of Hitotsubashi University

  • Afternoon: Discussions with professors and students

  • 7:30 PM: Farewell dinner on a cruise boat (Japanese-style restaurant)

Day 12: Wednesday, October 22, 2025: Departure

  • Check-out from the hotel 

  • Transfer to the Airport in Tokyofor departure

The cost of the program includes:

  • Flight from LAX. Flights can be arranged from other states for additional fees.
  • Hotels in a twin-shared rooms: Fukuoka U-bell Hotel (Hotel Monterey Lasoeur Fukuoka and Tokyo, Twin Room: APA Hotel Asakusa Tawaramachi Ekimae
  • Breakfast every day at the hotel.
  • Welcome dinner and farewell dinner.
  • Organizational visits.
  • Educational tours.

The cost of the trip is $4,950 (double-occupancy)  per person

This educational trip can be funded out of pocket or through institutional support. Schools and universities can cover the full cost or offer partial sponsorship for their faculty's participation.

Set up automatic payments with no additional fees and spread out your balance for easy budgeting. Your full balance is scheduled until 30 days before departure.
How It Works:
  • No registration or plan fee – completely free to join!
  • $300 first payment due within 30 days of registration to confirm your spot.
  • Flexible payment schedule: Choose monthly or bi-weekly automatic payments based on your preference.
  • $1,500 payment must be completed no later than 60 days before departure.
  • Final balance must be completed no later than 30 days before departure.
  • No penalties for early payments – pay off your balance anytime!

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations must be received in writing.  The following cancellation schedule applies:

  • 70% of the paid amount refunded between 100 and 91 days prior to departure.
  • 60% of the paid amount refunded between 90 and 61 days prior to departure.
  • 50% of the paid amount refunded between 60 and 51 days prior to departure.
  • No refund within 50 days of the departure date.
